I was told about this butcher/prepared food store, the owner makes meals to order and to sell on site. The second time I ordered a lasagna tray I requested a veggie tray.
I asked the owner what veggies she put in her lasagna and she listed a number of veggies. She said red/green peppers, onions, squash, zuccini. I asked if she puts mushrooms in her lasagna and she said "I never put mushrooms in my Veggie lasagna". I said great because there are a number of us that do not eat mushrooms so that would work out perfectly.
I picked the tray up and had my guests over and as I was serving the first section to get the tray started it was loaded with mushrooms. That would be a treat for those who enjoy them but needless to say a number of us were extremely disappointed. The next day I went to the store to inquire if I by chance was given the wrong tray. The owner was not kind and said that she put down no red peppers.
So if I would have stated no red peppers, then I can understand that part of the mix up. What I don't understand is how mushrooms when she says she never uses in veggie trays? She offered no apology or was quite snide. After I left there I spoke with my friend that works in the same towns bakery and told me that her boss was just there delivering a baked order that Saylor's owners placed but because she did not like them in appearance she demanded her money back.
So how does a proprietor expect retribution from another but can't offer the same for their mistakes?
All could have been forgiven if at the least an apology was extended, not to mention some kind of ownership to her mistake.I continue to discourage my friends and family away from this place since the customer doesn't matter
